1) Education Programme
Enrolment
HKIM continues to operate its regular Certificate and Diploma programme with HKU SPACE, School of Continuing Studies of the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK SCS), Li Ka Shing Institute of Professional and Continuing Education (OUHK-LiPACE) and Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education – Chai Wan. In 2010/11, there were over 500 students following various HKIM courses.
Education Programme Curriculum Review
New programme syllabuses are completed and verified; and launched in partners’ education programmes development.
New Partners
Last year, HKIM reached a cooperation agreement with LiPACE and the University of Macau to launch the Diploma in Marketing. New syllabuses will be applied in the future courses development, and the schedule of implementation will be announced later.
Overseas University
HKIM is discussing with some foreign universities of the degree engagement program for our members to continue to achieve higher academic achievements. Details will be announced in our future bulletins.
2) Other qualifications
Certified Professional Marketer (Asia)
The Certified Professional Marketer (Asia) designation of the Asia Marketing Federation (AMF) is aqualification forprofessional marketers; HKIM members may seek exemption from three of the modules (excepting the two Asia Pacific modules).AMF qualification examinations in April were completed and now HKIM is accepting application for October 2011examination registration. Members are provided another pathway to further professional recognition.
Certification for China Marketing Managers
HKIM continues to cooperate with China Business Manger Association and will extend China marketing and vocational training certification in other Asian region.
3) Student Internship
HKIM launches Student Internship Programme for students from The Hong Kong Institute of Education, Hong Kong Shue Yan University and Hang Seng Management College in this summer vacation. Through eight-week internship with supervision and guidance, the students are able to better understand marketing activities.
