Strengthening Ties with the M ainland

HKIM has strengthened its ties with mainland China. Recognizing his effort in promoting marketing in the mainland, several major partners invited Dr K C Li, our Chairman to visit Kumming and Beijing in August.

In Kumming, Dr K C Li introduced HKIM at the 4 th National Conference on Professional Training and Qualification Recognition Cum Teacher Training ( 第四屆全國職業培訓與資格認証工作會議暨師資培訓會 ). An award of Outstanding Training Centre for National Marketing Manager Qualification ( 全國市場營銷經理資格 ) was presented to HKIM in this event.

Then, Dr K C Li flew to Beijing for a busy schedule filled up with visits. He met with key people in the Marketing Association ( 中國市場學會 ) and exchanged views on industrial development trends in the regions. Dr Li also met with the Executive Committee of the China Marketing Research Association ( 中國信息協會市場研究業分會 ) and visited a list of leading marketing research organizations included CTR Marketing Research, Gallup Research Company and Ipsos China. In addition, Dr Li delivered a keynote speech at the opening ceremony of the China Enterprise Competitive Intelligence 10 Cities Conference (2004 中國企業導入競爭情報 10 城市巡講 ).

Last but not the least, the China Business Manager Association ( 中國商業技師協會 ) appointed Dr Li Honorary Vice President ( 名譽副會長 ) in recognition of his professional experience and the significant contribution towards the marketing industry and the business community. (Other honorary members of the association include key central and provincial officials).
