Dr Victor Lee did his undergraduate and graduate studies in computer science and mathematics in the USA, and his graduate studies in Management in the UK. He got his PhD in Management Systems from the University of London. He also attended Harvard Graduate School of Education’s Management Development Programme and Harvard Business School’s Governing for Non-profit Excellence Programme.

Dr Victor Lee had taught in several universities around the globe before returning to Hong Kong in 1989. These include the State University/College of New York in the USA, The American University of Paris in France, and the University of East Asia in Macau. In addition, he worked for Bank of America as a senior technical training specialist in 1989-1991.

Dr Victor Lee joined The Open University of Hong Kong in 1991 as a senior lecturer in applied computing and then in 1994 as an Associate Professor in Management to launch the Open University’s MBA programme. In 1999, he was appointed by The Chinese University of Hong Kong as Director of School of Continuing and Professional Studies.

As for leadership training, Dr Lee participated in two leadership workshops, organised by the International Leadership Academy of the United Nations University in 1998 and 1999 respectively. He was invited by the Japanese Government to act as an Advisor on Board for the Ship for World Youth in 2000. The Ship for World Youth hosted some 200 youths from around the world on a two-month study tour programme in leadership development.

For community and public service, Dr Lee is currently Chairman of The Federation for Continuing Education in Tertiary Institutions, and Member of Manpower Development Committee of HKSAR.
